AJ is a managing director in the KPMG Federal Advisory practice. Prior to joining KPMG in 2022, AJ had a distinguished career in the United States Marine Corps, serving for over thirty-five years. He holds defense acquisition professional credentials in Program Management, Systems Engineering, and Test & Evaluation. AJ has earned Masters Degrees of Science in National Resource Strategy and Information Technology from the National Defense University Eisenhower School and Naval Postgraduate School respectively.
From 2018 to 2022, AJ served as Commanding General of Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) in Quantico, Virginia. In this role, he was responsible for overseeing all USMC ground and information technology programs and managing a team of 3,000+ military and civilian acquisition professionals worldwide. He also led the USMC's single systems acquisition organization and executed over $12 billion annually across all federal appropriations.
