Stefano leads KPMG efforts helping companies and governments navigate the complex and rapidly evolving geopolitical landscape. Connecting the macro political trends and pressing challenges in different sectors, Stefano helps identify the 'now what' of geopolitics for global businesses through strategic scenario planning, due diligence and geopolitical risk management. He manages KPMG’s global alliance with the Eurasia Group, a world-leading political risk outfit.
With an academic background in international relations, diplomacy and international law, Stefano brings to the role 8+ years of management consulting practice in Australia and around the world, assisting corporate and government clients with policy and regulatory affairs advice.
At KPMG, he provides regulatory strategy advice and trade policy advice, both domestically and internationally. His engagements encompassed a wide range of policy portfolios including trade, excise and other taxes, regulatory freedoms, competition policy, energy and investment.
Stefano regularly delivers policy workshops and contributes as a speaker on geopolitical trends at events with senior government and industry stakeholders in various markets around the world.
Stefano earned an LL.M. in International Law from the Graduate Institute, Geneva, a Master’s in Diplomacy focusing on International and European Law, and a Bachelor’s in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Padua, Italy.
Stefano enjoys working as a cycling tour guide, competing in Ironman triathlons and serving as a reservist Infantry Soldier in the Royal Australian Infantry Corps.
