Patrick R. McIntyre

Pat is a Partner in KPMGs Core Business Tax Services practice. Pat’s experience primarily consists of leading outsourcing, tax provision and consulting engagements, where he serves as the client’s primary point of contact coordinating teams across various tax service lines (e.g., Washington National Tax, International Tax, M&A Tax, State and Local Tax, etc.). During his career, Pat has led the delivery of tax services for several Fortune 500 accounts.

Professional and Industry Experience

Pat has focused most of his career on serving financial service institutions, in particular commercial and captive insurance companies. Due to the complexity of the financial services industry, Pat is frequently a subject matter point of contact advising on complex issues and their financial accounting implications. Pat’s experience serving multinational clients includes working through significant restructuring transactions to contend with the implications of tax reform. Pat’s tax technical experience coupled with his tax provision experience allows him to see a wide array of issues and their financial accounting implications.

• Has served as outsourced tax director on various inbound and domestic companies
• Has led a federal and state compliance co-sourcing engagement for a Fortune 250 audit client
• Has served several large non-audit clients in a special projects tax advisory role, including the delivery of complex tax advice and tax planning
• Takes a “hands-on” role teaming with tax service lines to deliver complex tax advice

More recently in his career, Pat spent significant time working with the US operations of an inbound client in a “tax department outsourcing” capacity. Pat led the compliance and provision processes, as well as coordinating consulting engagements across multiple service lines. Pat served as the primary point of contact to the company’s Treasurer and CFO on all US tax matters.
