Chris Marston
Advisory Vice Chair
Chris Marston serves as Vice Chair, Advisory at KPMG in the U.S. and is a member of the U.S. Management Committee. In this role, he is responsible for ensuring that our Advisory practice delivers outstanding value to clients.
A seasoned enterprise leader with over 30 years of experience, Chris has a strong track record of scaling complex businesses, aligning strategy with execution, and bringing together the full power of KPMG’s capabilities across Audit and Assurance, Tax, and Advisory to deliver excellent work to clients.
Chris most recently served as the U.S. Line of Business Leader for Government & Healthcare. In this role, he defined and executed integrated go-to-market strategies that aligned the firm’s capabilities to market opportunities. Previously, Chris played a significant role in building KPMG’s Federal practice, where he successfully scaled the business through disciplined execution, targeted investment, and data-informed decision-making.
Known for his clarity of direction, operational rigor, and collaborative leadership style, Chris is deeply engaged with senior client stakeholders and is trusted for his ability to translate strategy into execution. He is a committed people leader and culture carrier, actively mentoring emerging leaders and championing inclusion and development across the firm. Throughout his career, Chris has built a reputation for fostering high-performing teams, developing future leaders, and reinforcing a culture grounded in accountability, trust, and long-term sustainability.
Chris is active in the community as well, having founded and served as president of the Natalie Gray Foundation for Pediatric Brain Tumors, a charity focused on raising money and awareness in support of children and families dealing with brain tumors. He also serves as a board member of the Olentangy Rowing Club, a youth rowing organization in central Ohio.
Chris received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from The College of William and Mary. He currently lives in Columbus, Ohio.
