Andrew is a Principal in the Mergers and Acquisitions (“M&A”) Tax practice in Charlotte, NC where he provides advice to clients related to tax attributes including tax losses and earnings and profits. He originally joined KPMG in 2006 in New York and his responsibilities included performing tax due diligence, tax modeling reviews, and providing tax advice in structuring M&A transactions.

Professional and industry experience

Andrew is a frequent speaker at internal and external tax training events. He has advised on many transactions, provided tax structuring advice in several industries and provided the following assistance to clients:

  • Post acquisition integration assistance;
  • Tax modeling and attribute analysis;
  • Structuring and implementing domestic and cross-border merger, acquisition, and divestiture transactions; and
  • Transactional leadership as well as technical support regarding US federal income tax consequences involved in significant acquisitions and reorganizations

Representative clients

Private equity and strategic clients with wide industry experience in the areas of technology, manufacturing, information/media, banking/finance, infrastructure, REITs, healthcare services, and energy.  Representative clients include: IBM, Mitsui & Co., Milestone Partners and TIAA.
