Seema Jain

Seema is a senior manager in KPMG’s Economic and Valuation Services practice in San Francisco office. Since joining KPMG in 2004, Seema assisted clients with transfer pricing documentation, restructuring and controversy. Seema focusses on transfer pricing for financial services institutions (banks, real estate companies, fintech and asset management) and financial transactions (pricing of debt instruments, guarantees, among others). Seema also has broad transfer pricing experience, having served companies of varying levels of maturity in the technology, pharmaceutical, consumer goods and retail industries.

Professional and industry experience

Seema’s professional experience includes:

• Assisted Fortune 500 companies with developing and implementing transfer pricing policies with respect to business restructurings involving centralized treasury operations, intercompany debt structuring service fee charge-out, and merger and acquisition integration.
• Designed Corporate Affiliate Program and Transactions with Affiliate Manual, performed Market Terms Benchmarking for Banks to meet the regulatory requirements under Reg W Section 23 A/B.
• Lead large global documentation and planning studies for US and foreign multinationals including coordination of KPMG foreign member firms and client contacts across numerous jurisdictions.
• Assisted emerging fintechs including those using blockchain technology, crypto exchanges, mobile payments and others in setting up a structure compliant with tax and regulatory requirements.
