Robert van der Jagt is a Tax partner in the Amsterdam office of KPMG Meijburg (the Netherlands) and joined KPMG in 1988. He specializes in international and European tax law.
Robert heads KPMG International's European Tax Centre in Amsterdam. This center coordinates all technical and policy developments in the area of EU tax law, such as EU State aid, Anti-Tax Avoidance Directive, country-by-country reporting, digital economy, Mandatory Disclosure Rules, and Common Consolidated Corporate Tax Base. Robert has frequently brought cases to the national and the Court of Justice of the EU. Robert is also chairman of the Committee on Legislative Proposals of the NOB (Dutch Association of Tax Advisors) and a member of the Practice Council of the International Tax Program of New York University.
Robert is member of an core team from KPMG International member firms that deals with the implementation of the new EU Mandatory Disclosure Rules. In addition, he has extensive background in taxation of the digital economy and is a member of a specialist group of the NOB dealing with the digital economy.
