In her role in KPMG’s Accounting Advisory Services Practice (AAS), Kristan provides technical accounting counsel as it relates to complex transactions, financial reporting matters, and accounting change. She has spent much of the last several years specifically focused on supporting clients in assessing the impact of, and transition to, new accounting standards.
Kristan’s technical areas of concentration include revenue recognition, leasing, consolidation, equity-method, and debt/equity.
Prior to joining KPMG’s AAS practice in September 2014, Kristan served as a Postgraduate Technical Assistant at the Financial Accounting Standards Board, where she worked on the Disclosure Framework Project as well as various technical topics within the scope of the Financial Accounting Foundation’s Post-Implementation Review.
