Evan is a Tax partner in KPMG’s New York Financial Services Tax practice. He has over 15 years of experience providing tax services to the world’s premier alternative asset managers across multiple product verticals, including credit, private equity, real estate, venture capital.
Evan specializes in providing tax compliance and tax consulting services to real estate funds, private equity funds, general partners, and management companies. He has an in-depth knowledge of the taxation of real estate, private equity and various financial products investments. Evan has advised on inbound and outbound investments, fund restructurings, including partnership mergers and portfolio dispositions as well as tax consequences for foreign and tax-exempt investors resulting from new fund formations. He has experience analyzing waterfall and targeted allocations, carry and incentive allocations, federal and state withholding, UBTI, ECI, elections under IRC 754 as well as inbound and outbound international tax issues (including PFICs and CFCs).
Evan is the Deputy Segment Lead for the New York Financial Services business unit’s Real Estate Segment and serves on the business unit’s Tax Advisory Board, responsible for the long-term strategic growth and transformation of the business unit.
