Rick Clifford

Rick is a Managing Director and the national leader for Fixed Asset Services at KPMG, which is within the Accounting Methods and Credit Services practice. Based in Raleigh, NC, he has more than 25 years of experience providing fixed asset accounting method services, fixed asset consulting, and construction tax planning services.
Rick has performed fixed asset and depreciation reviews in order to determine capitalization vs. expense treatment, depreciation calculation verification, asset life classifications and construction-in-progress account validity. He has extensive experience in statistical sampling cost segregation and repairs and maintenance engagements including full ERP implementations of results. Rick has led cost segregation based investment tax credit studies on multiple renewable project energy projects and works closely with our client’s design/build teams as they navigate the recent rules related to the Inflation Reduction Act.
Rick has a B.A. in Managerial Economics from Union College.
