Laura is a Sr. Manager in KPMG’s sustainability practice in the U.S. and brings more than a decade of experience in business and human rights. She has guided multinational clients in human rights due diligence strategy and program enhancements to assist with alignment to legislative standards and international best practices.

Professional and industry experience
Before joining KPMG, Laura worked in the international development sector and built subject-matter specialization in multiple areas of social sustainability, including anti-trafficking and forced labor, responsible sourcing and human rights due diligence in global supply chains. At her previous organization, she oversaw a multi-million dollar portfolio of partnerships and projects addressing modern slavery across Asia, North America, Europe and Australia. Laura is also a certified Project Management Professional and has professional experience leading communications, public relations and storytelling for global audiences.

  • Global food and beverage company: Led an assessment of the company’s internal due diligence systems and anti-forced labor program to assess its alignment with USG expectations under the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act and internationally-recognized standards.
  • Global automotive company: Supported a human rights saliency assessment and regulatory readiness assessment to inform the company’s human rights risk management priorities.
  • Key KPMG US human rights pillar leader, supporting clients in this unique aspect of KPMG’s sustainability services.
