Wu Hong Chui has 27 years of international tax experience in Singapore advising on tax-efficient structures, cross-border transactions, and mergers and acquisitions deals for local and multinational companies.
His broad range of tax advisory experience includes intellectual property planning, tax efficient supply chain and financing planning, group reorganizations, planning for tax-effective acquisitions and disposals, advising on cross-border transactions, inbound and outbound investments, and mergers and acquisitions.
His experience covers a wide range of industries including commodities, infrastructure, oil and gas, retail, real estate, hotels, construction, shipping, transportation and logistics, manufacturing, and information technology. While working with local and international clients in the financial services sector, he has served investment; consumer, and full banks; funds; commodity trading firms; and real estate investment trusts.
Wu Hong has advised numerous multinational clients in connection with the evaluation of tax-efficient alternatives, including planning and implementation of global supply chains and intellectual property bifurcation. In conjunction with these planning efforts, he has assisted clients with applications and negotiations with the Singapore tax authorities and relevant government agencies for tax rulings and tax incentives.
Wu Hong has contributed to various articles in tax journals and is a frequent speaker on tax related topics. He is an accredited Tax Advisor for the Singapore Institute of Accredited Tax Professionals.
He holds a bachelor's business degree in accounting from the University of Tasmania. He is a certified practicing accountant in Australia, fellow member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants, a board member of the Singapore Institute of Accredited Tax Professionals, and a board member of the Tax Academy of Singapore.
