Vice Chair – Artificial Intelligence & Digital Innovation
Stephen (Steve) Chase is the Vice Chair of KPMG's Artificial Intelligence and Digital Innovation organization and a member of the firm's Management Committee. In his role, Steve focuses on fostering a culture of innovation and driving KPMG's transformation through the systemic adoption of AI, Data and Emerging Technology. This involves leading a firm-wide initiative to integrate AI into every aspect of the business. With over 30 years of experience in technology-driven business transformations, Steve also offers strategic guidance to KPMG clients on their AI and Digital transformation journeys.
Prior to his current role, Steve was the head of KPMG’s US Consulting practice, one of the largest and fastest growing segments of the business with a team of over 15,000 partners and professionals in the US and India. As the leader of Consulting, Steve pioneered innovative client service programs, including the firm’s market leading Powered Enterprise, Connected Enterprise and Trusted solutions.
Steve has held numerous leadership and client service roles in KPMG including serving as a Lead Partner for one of KPMG's major global telecom clients. These roles have sharpened his industry and technology experience, while continuing to deliver outstanding client service. Steve also helped establish KPMG's Alliance program, which remains a cornerstone of the firm's growth strategy and AI investments. He serves as the global executive sponsor for the firm’s alliance relationships with Workday and ServiceNow.
Currently, Steve represents KPMG on the UT McCombs Advisory Council, and he has previously served as a Board Chair for the North Texas Food Bank. In recognition of his achievements, Steve was named one of Consulting Magazine's Top 25 Consultants for Excellence in Leadership in 2015. He holds an MBA and a Master's in Professional Accounting from The University of Texas at Austin, as well as BA degrees in Economics and Philosophy from the College of William and Mary. Steve resides in Dallas, Texas, with his wife and two children.
