Robert Ford

Robert has worked at KPMG since July of 2006. He is currently a Tax Managing Director helping to lead the Accounting Methods and Credits (AMCS) Group in KPMG’s Southeast practice. In 2011, Robert finished an 18 month rotation with the Income Tax and Accounting Group of KPMG’s Washington National Tax Practice.
Professional and industry experience
In his current role, Robert advises clients on issues that arise with regards to accounting methods and credits. His experience includes identifying and leading projects surrounding:
- Tax planning opportunities related to tax reform concentrating on various accounting methods for income and expenses;
- Fixed assets analysis and computations including recently helping companies to implement the Tangible Property Regulations;
- The Research and Development Tax Credit including assisting clients with IRS audit defense; and
- Inventory accounting methods, specifically assisting with the application of Section 263A and the tax LIFO accounting rules.
Robert has been working over the past several years to build KPMG’s Southeast AMCS practice with team members in Atlanta, Tampa and Charlotte.
