Growth in the Era of Compound Volatility
This year’s KPMG CEO Outlook analyzed insights from more than 1,300 CEOs at large companies globally, including 400 in the United States, to evaluate how they are navigating the challenge of compound volatility.
CEOs in Energy, Natural Resources, and Chemicals (ENRC) are focused on M&A, geopolitical risk, ESG, generative AI, and talent and culture.
It’s clear energy CEOs are bullish on their future growth prospects, and with strong balance sheets and an increasing appetite for M&A, I would expect the energy deals market to only heat up from here. Geopolitical risk however is clearly keeping energy CEOs up at night. Focusing on the elements of the business within their control, like using ESG as a value creation lever and creating efficiencies with emerging technologies like Gen AI are imperatives to future growth.
