OECD: Report to G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors, update on developments in OECD’s tax work
Update on developments in OECD’s tax work
The Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) today published the OECD Secretary-General Tax Report to G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors (G20 United States, October 2026), providing an update on developments in the OECD’s tax work since the last Secretary-General report in April.
The report focuses on how corporate income tax policies can support business dynamism by examining the effects of tax rates, compliance costs, loss-offset provisions, financing frictions, and competitive distortions. It also provides an overview of how tax policy can support a more dynamic and competitive business environment.
The report was prepared by the OECD ahead of the third G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors' Meeting under the United States G20 Presidency, held on October 15, 2026, in Bangkok, Thailand.
