Gambia: Implementation of e-invoicing system for VAT and other taxes

The implementation of e-invoicing is intended to improve compliance with VAT and other tax obligations.

The Gambia Revenue Authority (GRA) announced the implementation of an e-invoicing system for VAT and other applicable taxes.

According to the GRA release (June 22, 2026), the implementation of e-invoicing is intended to:

  • Improve compliance with VAT and other tax obligations
  • Enhance transparency and accountability in business transactions
  • Strengthen tax administration by improving the accuracy of tax reporting
  • Increase domestic revenue collection for national development
