  • Africa: OECD Global Forum 2026 report on tax transparency in Africa 
  • Africa: West African Tax Administration Forum (WATAF) calls for stronger regional action on tobacco taxation
  • Republic of the Congo: Draft Finance Law 2026 seeks to reduce tax exemptions, digitalize tax processes, and optimize revenue from natural resources
  • Republic of the Congo: Introduction of mandatory certified e-invoicing
  • Madagascar: Finance Law 2026, which suspends the recently introduced motor vehicle tax and repeals the 20% VAT on interest charged by banks and financial institutions, enacted
  • Nigeria: Guidelines on taxation of virtual assets, tax refunds, and applications for Economic Development Tax Incentive 
  • South Africa: Guide on implementation of advance pricing agreements (APAs)
  • South Africa: Public comments invited on draft Taxation Laws Amendment Bill 2026 proposals
