Türkiye: Income tax treaty with Zambia signed

To eliminate double taxation and prevent fiscal evasion

June 3, 2026

The governments of Turkey and Zambia signed an income tax treaty (on April 30, 2026) to eliminate double taxation and prevent fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income.

The agreement allocates taxing rights on income such as dividends, interest, royalties, and business profits, and includes provisions on permanent establishment, nondiscrimination, and exchange of information to support cross‑border taxation certainty.
