President Trump today nominated James Gadwood to serve as IRS Chief Counsel.

Gadwood is a partner at Miller & Chevalier and serves as Vice Chair of its tax department. 

The nomination will be forwarded by the White House to the Senate where it will likely be considered by the Senate Finance Committee and then the full U.S. Senate. A majority vote of the Senate will be required to confirm the nomination.
