Malaysia: Extension of special voluntary disclosure programme for stamp duty

Extended to December 31, 2026

June 26, 2026

The Ministry of Finance (MOF) has extended the stamp duty voluntary disclosure program to December 31, 2026 (originally set to end on June 30, 2026).

The additional six months provides businesses with a more practical window to undertake comprehensive reviews and ensure accurate disclosures.

The program provides a 100% waiver of late stamping penalties for all eligible unstamped instruments executed between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2026.
