Saint Vincent and the Grenadines: Decoupling domestic taxation from freight markets, eliminating gas levy

Measures exclude shipping charges from tax base and suspend LPG customs charge for 90 days.

Two fiscal measures on May 27, 2026, were introduced to mitigate the impact of global price volatility on households and importers.

Adjustments to the tax base exclude certain shipping-related charges and apply fixed freight rates at January 2015 levels for tax calculations. Additionally, the customs service charge on liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) was removed for a 90-day period.
