United States signs reciprocal trade agreements with Guatemala and El Salvador

The Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) has announced the signing of two reciprocal trade agreements with Guatemala and El Salvador.

  • The United States-Guatemala Agreement on Reciprocal Trade was signed on January 30, 2026, with Guatemala’s Minister of Economy. Read text of the agreement, the joint statement (November 13, 2025), and the USTR fact sheet (November 2025).
  • The United States-El Salvador Agreement on Reciprocal Trade was signed on January 29, 2026, with El Salvador’s Minister of Economy. Read text of the agreement, the joint statement (November 13, 2025), and the USTR fact sheet (November 2025).
