United States revises tariffs on Brazilian imports, exempts certain agricultural products
Updated exemptions apply as of November 13, 2025
The White House on November 20, 2025, posted an executive order signed by President Trump that exempts certain agricultural products from the additional 40% ad valorem duty rate on imports from Brazil, which was announced in July 2025 (read TradeNewsFlash).
The updated exemptions apply to goods entered for consumption, or withdrawn from warehouse for consumption, on or after November 13, 2025, and the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS) has been updated.
