The South African government has announced an extension of the Section 12L tax incentive for energy-efficiency savings from December 31, 2025, to December 31, 2030.

The tax incentive encourages businesses to invest in energy efficiency, reducing costs and enhancing building management efficiencies. These measures contribute to significant energy savings and reduced CO2 emissions.
