The Argentinean government yesterday announced that the income tax treaty with China entered into force on November 26, 2024.

The agreement between Argentina China seeks to avoid double taxation with respect to income and asset taxes. The bilateral instrument also aims to enhance tax cooperation between Argentina and China, providing clarity on tax obligations and reducing the risk of tax evasion and avoidance for entities operating in both countries.
