Saso joins Stacy Lewis, Mariah Stackhouse, and Leona Maguire as KPMG Brand Ambassadors on LPGA Tour
KPMG US and KPMG Japan are proud to announce a global sponsorship agreement with Japanese professional golfer Yuka Saso. KPMG will support Saso as she continues her career on the LPGA Tour.
As part of the agreement with KPMG, Saso will wear the KPMG logo on the front chest of her apparel during all of her golf-related appearances, beginning this week at the LPGA Tour's 1st major of the year, the Chevron Championship in Rancho Mirage, CA.
In only her second season on the LPGA Tour, Saso has already established her place amongst the world’s best in women’s golf, ranking 11th in the Rolex Rankings with three Top-15 finishes in five tournaments in 2022. Saso made history when she won the U.S. Women’s Open in 2021, tying Inbee Park for the youngest champion in tournament history at just 19 years, 11 months, and 17 days old. Prior to joining the LPGA Tour, Saso had a successful year on the LPGA of Japan Tour, where she won the NEC Karuizawa 72 and the Nitori Ladies Golf Tournament in consecutive weeks in 2020. As an amateur, she won the 2016 World Junior Girls Championship, the Philippine Junior Amateur in 2016 & 2017, two gold medals in the 2018 Asian Games, and the 2019 Girls Junior PGA Championship. Saso was also named a first-team Rolex Junior All-American in 2019.
“It’s an honor to join KPMG,” Saso said. “It’s an organization that is committed to inspiring confidence and empowering change, something I try to do with my platform as a professional golfer. I’m thankful for their support and look forward to succeeding together, both on and off the golf course.”
This relationship is part of KPMG’s sports sponsorship platform, which includes LPGA Tour golfers Stacy Lewis (USA), Mariah Stackhouse (USA), and Leona Maguire (Ireland), as well as PGA Tour golfer Maverick McNealy (USA). KPMG is also the title sponsor of the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, a major tournament on the LPGA Tour.
