Ruixiang “Richard” Wu works with financial institutions and other complex organizations to identify and manage technology risks, strengthen internal controls, and build trust through effective assurance and compliance programs. As a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), he has more than 11 years of experience leading technology assurance engagements involving SOX compliance, SOC reporting, regulatory audits, cybersecurity, IT risk and controls, governance and operating model transformation, and technology implementation assurance. Richard has led large-scale IT audits, global SOC 1 examinations, system migration and implementation reviews, cyber incident assessments, and IT risk assessment initiatives across banking, capital markets, broker-dealer operations, digital assets, consumer lending, credit cards, and derivatives. He is a key member of KPMG’s Technology Assurance Cyber and Privacy Team, leading the Business Unit Champion Network and supporting the development of cyber capabilities, go-to-market materials, industry-specific risk assessments, and thought leadership. He also collaborates with KPMG’s Cyber practice, Department of Professional Practice, and global methodology teams to interpret emerging cybersecurity regulations and contribute to publications and training materials that help audit teams and clients understand evolving cyber risks and reporting requirements.
