Robin Van Voorhies
Senior Director, Dept. of Professional Practice
Robin is a Senior Director in the Accounting Group within the KPMG Department of Professional Practice (DPP). Robin currently serves as the Chief of Staff for the Accounting Group and primarily supports Accounting Group leadership and general group operations. Robin previously spent 9 years as a core team member on the Leases and Long-lived Assets and Financial Assets and Services Topic Teams, with a focus on fair value measurement on the latter. Since 2014, Robin has been managing the KPMG Quarterly Outlook publication and related webcast and frequently presents on the Quarterly Outlook and other webcasts.
Before joining DPP, Robin worked in the KPMG Audit practice out of the KPMG Hartford and Boston offices, and primarily served clients in the real estate, building and construction, and investment management industries. Robin also completed a two-year rotation with the KPMG Business School in Montvale, New Jersey, with a focus on designing, developing and delivering national and global training to KPMG audit professionals at all levels. Robin has served as a national instructor on various firm programs and has conducted trainings for national and international audiences.
Robin initially joined the KPMG Hartford office in 2006 after graduating from Boston College with a BS in Accounting. Robin earned an MS in Accounting from the University of Connecticut in 2007. She is a licensed public accountant in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey and New York.
