Kirby is an Audit Senior Manager based out of Los Angeles, CA currently working in the KPMG Department of Professional Practice (DPP). He has over ten years of experience providing financial statement audits, audits of internal controls, reviews of various SEC filings and other audit support services primarily within the retail, consumer markets and telecommunications industries.
Kirby has led complex integrated audits of global corporations filing with the SEC through planning, risk assessment, execution and completion. He has significant experience with technical accounting issues and critical audit areas including, but not limited to, business combinations and accompanying valuations, debt and equity offerings (secondary offerings and private placement transactions), legal entity restructurings accompanying inversions, and adoption and implementation of pervasive new accounting standards (such as ASC 606, Revenue from Contracts with Customers and ASC 842, Leases).
