Brian Smith

Brian is a Senior Manager in KPMG’s Ignition – Tax Application Integration Practice. He has been working in tax since 1988 with a focus on tax provision and compliance leveraging tax technology for tax processes. Prior to working at KPMG, Brian worked for a large retail company in Dallas for over 10 years where he was responsible for multiple tax processes including federal, state, international, federal audit, fixed assets, as well as working in the sales & use functional area. He joined a competitor firm in 1999 where he managed a 55+ client base in the southwest and west coast regions. Brian was responsible and provided client support and retention, implementation guidance, process improvement, and training for the Corptax suite of products. He has managed several complex and challenging projects for high profile multi-national clients since joining the successful KPMG team, Brian works with clients to effectively improve their processes. Brian is a Corptax certified professional in several modules.
