Erik has more than 25 years of experience advising companies on tax transfer pricing matters. Prior to rejoining KPMG in April 2025, he managed the in-house transfer pricing functions for two Fortune 100 companies for the last 17 years. Erik is part of KPMG’s west coast Economic and Valuation Services (“EVS”) practice group.

Erik’s key experience includes:
- In-house management of the transfer pricing function for two Fortune 100 companies (The Walt Disney Company and NIKE) covering planning, operational, compliance, and controversy matters.
- IP valuation / migration and supply chain restructuring.
- Integrated customs duty and direct tax planning.
- Merger & acquisition diligence and post-merger integration.
- Advance Pricing Agreements (bilateral and unilateral) involving more than a dozen countries including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, the Netherlands, France, Italy, Japan, and India.
- International Compliance Assurance Program leading one Fortune 100 company through all phases including selection, risk assessment and issue resolution.
- Analysis relating to tax reserves under ASC 740 standards.
- US and foreign cost allocation studies under §1.482-9 and OECD standards.
- Global transfer pricing compliance for BEPS Action 13 (e.g., local file and documentation, global master file, country-by-country reporting).
Erik co-authored the media and entertainment chapter in Fundamentals of Transfer Pricing (3rd edition, Wolters Kluwer), which is expected to be published in 2026. Erik also has published technical articles in journals such as International Tax Review and Tax Executive.
