Andrea Shikella
Managing Director, Mergers & Acquisitions Tax
Andrea Shikella is a Managing Director in KPMG’s Mergers & Acquisitions Tax practice and is based in Seattle. Andrea has 20+ years of experience advising clients with respect to the US federal income tax aspects of a variety of transactions including mergers, acquisitions, liquidations and spin-offs. Since joining the M&A Tax practice, Andrea has provided tax due diligence and tax structuring for domestic and cross-border transactions for strategic buyers and private equity firms. Andrea also specializes in assisting clients with calculating earnings and profits, stock basis in subsidiaries, and calculating ownership shift percentages pursuant to Section 382 and applicable net operating loss limitations.
Prior to joining the M&A Tax practice, Andrea was with the M&A Tax practice in EY’s Los Angeles office for 10+ years. While in Los Angeles, Andrea provided tax due diligence, structuring, stock basis and earnings and profits studies to both private equity and large corporate clients.
Andrea started her career with the Federal Tax practice in KPMG’s Philadelphia office. While in Philadelphia, Andrea completed U.S. federal and state income tax returns for C corporation, partnership and individual clients.
