Sonia Shahdadpuri

Sonia is a Tax Managing Director in KPMG New York’s Asset Management Practice. She has been with the firm for over thirteen years, mainly serving Investment Management clients.

In her role as a Managing Director, Sonia assists in providing tax compliance and consulting services to business development and regulated investment companies. Sonia’s clients are mostly business development and regulated investment companies, but she has experience with hedge fund and private equity fund clients as well. She has assisted clients with issues relating to tax compliance, qualification, distribution planning, tax reporting to authorities and investors, tax jurisdiction analyses, financial reporting, and foreign withholding issues. Sonia has worked with multiple business development companies from initial launch to IPO. As a Managing Director, she is usually the main point of contact, responsible for the overall project management and heavily involved with the planning and execution of timely deliverables.
