Kristy Serviss

Kristy Serviss serves as the U.S. Dispute Consulting & Advisory Leader in KPMG’s Forensic Practice, bringing over 25 years of experience specializing in resolving post-acquisition disputes and providing specialized consulting. Her expertise spans across roles as an arbitrator, independent expert, consultant, and expert witness in areas such as mergers and acquisitions disputes, litigation, contract disputes, commercial disagreements, and forensic investigations. Kristy is renowned for her proficiency in delivering dispute resolution and litigation support on a diverse range of issues, including working capital adjustments, earn-outs statements, indebtedness, transactions expenses, cash, purchase price allocations, put/call options, breach of representation and warranty claims, quantification of damages, GAAP and IFRS compliance issues, and consultation on purchase agreements. She also works closely with insurers and insureds in assisting with representation and warranty insurance (RWI) claims, focusing on assessing claim and calculating loss/damages related to breach of contract. 

Kristy is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in the state of NY, Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and an active member of professional organizations such as the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the NY CPA Society, and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.  She also served on the AICPA M&A Dispute Resolution Task Force and was a contributing author in the AICPA Representations and Warranties Insurance publication, which provides guidance to CPA’s serving as consultants, experts, or arbitrators in connection with accounting and economic matters, including merger disputes, breach of representation and warranty claims, and the calculation of loss and damages.
