Ellen Russo
Managing Director, Dept. of Professional Practice
Ellen is a managing director in the KPMG Department of Professional Practice (DPP) with more than 30 years of experience serving engagement teams, providing technical research and content management guidance, and providing financial statement audit services. In her role, Ellen focuses on financial reporting requirements of the Securities and Exchange Commission's (SEC) rules and matters concerning non-compliance with laws and regulations (NOCLAR). She has been responsible for executing the training program for the firm's SEC reviewing partners for the past nine years.
Prior to joining DPP, Ellen served as an Audit senior manager in the KPMG San Francisco office serving clients primarily in the consumer products and life sciences industries. Her audit experience includes serving both global and development-stage companies as well as a range of SEC debt and equity offerings including IPOs.
Ellen holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from the University of Vermont and is a licensed public accountant in Massachusetts and Connecticut.
