Ricky Rahaman is Tax Sector Leader – Private Equity at KPMG and a tax partner in KPMG’s Alternative Investment Tax Practice.

Ricky has more than 20 years of experience in public accounting with extensive knowledge in structuring corporate acquisitions and liquidations and conducting annual tax planning. Ricky’s expertise includes tax consulting and compliance work for private equity funds and their portfolio companies, including investor reporting and structuring at the fund level and annual tax planning and compliance for the portfolio companies. He also has in-depth knowledge of Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs) as an acquisition or liquidation strategy.

Prior to joining KPMG, Ricky served as a tax partner at a national public accounting specializing in the alternative investment industry, where he also focused on consulting and planning for businesses in the middle market.

Ricky is a certified public accountant. He graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Science degree and earned his Master of Science degree in Taxation from Seton Hall University. Ricky is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
