Chad Poppell is a Managing Director in KPMG's Health and Government Solutions practice. With 20 years of experience leading state and local government institutions through programmatic and cultural transformations, economic recessions, and even pandemics, Chad knows the operational and political frameworks leaders must address to successfully navigate change.
Leaning on experiences gained as Secretary of both Florida’s Department of Children and Families and the Department of Management Services, as well as his time as Chief of Staff at Florida’s Department of Economic Opportunity (Labor and Commerce), he has a ground level understanding of unemployment insurance and workforce programs, safety net programs, self-sufficiency services, child welfare, human resources, grants management, and general management services such as procurement and real estate.
