James Patdu

James is a Director in the KPMG Department of Professional Practice (DPP) with over 20 years of experience providing technical accounting and advisory services. Since joining DPP in June 2025, his responsibilities have included supporting engagement teams on various technical accounting and reporting issues, as well as helping update firm publications for changes and updates to the standards. He serves on the consolidation, debt and equity, financial instruments, and derivatives and hedging topic teams.
Prior to DPP, James was a Director in the KPMG Accounting Advisory Services practice in Chicago, where he managed a broad range of accounting implementation, transaction analyses, and “on-call” accounting advisory services for domestic and multinational companies across various industries.
