Yuwon is a Managing Director in the Economic and Valuation Services group for the KPMG Washington National Tax practice. He has over 19 years of tangible asset valuation experience for financial reporting and tax purposes and advises clients on complex tax related valuation issues involving tangible assets.
Yuwon advises clients on tax related valuation issues, including FIRPTA, property tax, real estate transfer tax, leasing, residual value studies, useful life studies, partnership basis adjustments, property casualty loss, purchase price allocations, and more.
Yuwon has also performed valuations for financial reporting purposes including business combinations, asset impairments, and fresh start purposes for U.S. GAAP and IFRS purposes. Yuwon also serves as the valuation specialist on public company audit engagements.
He has valued varying asset types including infrastructure, telecommunications networks, technology assets, manufacturing assets, processing assets, heavy industrial assets, technology assets, retail assets, vehicle fleets, and other property. He has also served clients across many industries including financial services, automotive, consumer products, telecommunications, healthcare, energy, oil and gas, and more. He also has significant international experience as he has appraised and personally inspected tangible assets located in Sweden, Canada, United States, Mexico, Brazil, France, Switzerland, Germany, Spain, United Kingdom, Argentina, Italy, Singapore, and South Korea.
