Maria Francisca has focused her practice on providing tax advisory services to domestic and foreign clients in corporate and international tax matters related to specific projects and transactions, as well as general tax consulting on everyday local and international issues.
Maria Francisca has more than 13 years of experience delivering legal and tax advice on matters related to direct and indirect tax matters, tax structuring, mergers & acquisitions, project financing, foreign investment, international treaties, reorganizations, and the implementation of corporate structures, primarily focusing on the forestry, shipping, automotive, energy, and technology industries. She has actively participated and worked alongside local and foreign advisors on international taxation, tax planning, and structuring for some of the most significant cross-border investments and transactions carried out in Chile.
Additionally, she has academic experience teaching courses, particularly in the area of income tax, in diploma programs and master’s degrees at leading universities in Chile.
Between 2012 and 2020, Maria worked assisting in the corporate and tax practices of KPMG. Then, between 2020 and 2022, she worked as an associated of Recabarren & Asociados Law firm. In 2022, Maria re-joined KPMG Chile.
