Ursula is an Advisory Partner with more than 23 years of experience across financial services (banking and insurance) both in the US and globally. She serves as our NY Office Banking & Capital Markets Leader and our National Captive Finance Sector Leader. While financial services is her primary industry, she often collaborates and partners with our industrial manufacturing (IM) and technology, media, and telecommunications (TMT) to support those financial services related business operations. Her professional experience spans across audit and advisory with in-depth solution experience across risk, compliance, internal audit, customer operations and experience, transformation and program management.
She has worked closely with clients across the three lines of defense to understand their business challenges, including internal and external considerations. Given her diverse experience, Ursula develops tailored solutions, considering upstream and downstream dependencies and implications, while also aligning to a client’s overall business strategy. As an Internal Audit Partner, she has worked with clients to design, implement, sustain and strengthen their Internal Audit function and program, as well as address MRAs and MRIAs.
She started her career within audit and advisory at peer Big 4 firms. Prior to joining KPMG, Ursula served as a Chief Audit Executive for a financial services firm. In addition to her professional career, Ursula has served as an adjunct lecturer at Pace University and Queens College. She is also a frequent contributor to KPMG issued Thought Leadership related to internal audit, compliance, and auto finance.
