John A Milner
Principal, Advisory, Financial Due Diligence
John Milner is a Principal in the KPMG Deal Advisory practice, based in Seattle. He co-leads the firm’s Technology sector financial diligence practice and advises corporate and private equity clients across the full lifecycle of M&A and divestiture transactions. With nearly two decades of experience in the technology subsector—including software, ad tech, semiconductors, and tech-enabled services—John brings deep sector knowledge and a collaborative approach to helping clients navigate complex deals.
John supports clients on both the buy-side and sell-side, and has advised on a wide range of transaction types, including growth equity investments, take-privates, and public-to-public mergers. He also has significant experience with complex deal structures such as carve-outs and cross-border transactions. He played a central role in developing KPMG’s industry-tailored diligence offerings, which are used across practice to help clients assess value creation opportunities.
John began his career in the KPMG Washington, DC office, later working in San Francisco before relocating to Seattle. His work has consistently focused on transactions at the forefront of technology change. He is known for working collaboratively across the firm to bring the right resources to each engagement and help clients drive success.
In addition to his client work, John serves on the board of trustees of the Greater Northwest chapter of the National MS Society, reflecting his commitment to community engagement and impact.
