Michele Meadows leads the KPMG national Financial Reporting Issues and Restatement Services practice. She is a results-oriented advisory partner with over 30 years of experience providing technical accounting and SEC reporting counsel to multinational corporations and legal firms.
Michele is a proven leader in navigating complex financial restatements, internal investigations, and regulatory inquiries. She combines 11 years of foundational audit experience with deep subject matter expertise in U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations to guide executive management, audit committees, and legal counsel through high-stakes financial reporting challenges.
Michele brings extensive experience serving large, public multinational corporations and private companies in sectors such as technology, consumer products, manufacturing, and healthcare. Over her career, Michele has specialized in structuring complex transactions and navigating the application of U.S. GAAP, with deep expertise in revenue recognition, lease accounting, business combinations, joint ventures, and equity method accounting.
Michele also serves on the board of directors of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Chicago, an organization focused on youth development. She holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Accounting from Purdue University; is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Illinois and Ohio; and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
