Partner, Audit Sector Leader – Banking & Capital Markets
Diana is the Financial Services Audit practice leader in Chicago. As an audit partner, she has 25 years of experience with KPMG primarily serving publicly traded financial services clients. Diana has significant experience auditing financial services companies, including commercial banks and asset managers in the Midwest region.
Throughout her career, Diana’s experience has focused on the audits of financial statements of public companies (SEC registrants), broker-dealers, and benefit plans, primarily centered on financial institutions. Such experience also includes the successful coordination of large global audits as well as audits of local community/regional banks. Diana serves as a firm-designated Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Reviewing Partner. She has a thorough understanding of SEC rules and regulations and has been involved in debt and equity offerings, as well as acquisitions. Diana has advised her clients on a range of issues, including investment valuation, business combinations, allowance methodology enhancements, and regulatory matters, and has worked extensively with firm and external providers of advisory assistance for banks including credit review and internal audit functions.
Diana also serves as a national instructor and has been involved in the practical application of audit concepts across the Financial Services practice. She has instructed and developed various national banking methodology courses, as well as local office practice meetings and technical updates.
