Shy Joseph is a Managing Director in KPMG’s Tax practice. Based in Boston, Shy has over 19 years of experience providing tax and consulting services to Tax-Exempt Organizations and Non-Profits including governmental entities, pension trusts, institutes of higher education, integrated healthcare networks, and employee benefit plans.
Shy's areas of expertise include formulating and evaluating policies and procedures for State and Federal tax filings, foreign tax filing determinations, private foundation distribution requirements, and tax compliance and planning for unrelated business activities, related taxable entities, joint ventures, and limited partnerships.
Shy is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants.
She is a licensed CPA and holds her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Boston University, her MBA in Non-Profit Management from Boston University, and her JD degree from the New England School of Law.
