Thomas Humbert is a Partner in the Chicago office of KPMG’s Technology Assurance Audit Practice. Thomas has over twenty-four years of experience providing IT attestation, audit and advisory services to global clients. He has a strong background in accounting, System and Organization Controls (SOC) reporting, the Systems Development Life Cycle, and AI and its impact on controls.
Thomas has substantial experience leading and coordinating IT attestation engagements and advisory engagements across several industries, with a focus on financial services, real estate, and healthcare sectors. He also leads teams with responsibility for planning, budgeting, execution, and delivery of Service Organization Control (SOC) 1 and SOC 2 reports; AI focused SOC readiness assessments, and Sarbanes-Oxley 404 testing of IT systems.
Thomas holds MBA and BS from Indiana University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
