Thomas Humbert is a Managing Director in the Chicago office of KPMG’s IT Advisory Practice. Thomas has over fourteen years of experience providing IT attestation and advisory services to global clients. He has a strong background in accounting, Service Organization Control (SOC) reporting, the Systems Development Life Cycle, and finance governance technologies.
Thomas has substantial experience leading and coordinating IT advisory engagements across several industries, with a focus on healthcare, industrial manufacturing, and financial services sectors. He has served as project manager with responsibility for planning, budgeting, execution, and delivery of Service Organization Control (SOC) 1 and SOC2 reports; HIPAA Privacy and Security risk assessments, Sarbanes-Oxley 404 testing of IT systems; and electronic prescriptions for controlled substances (EPCS) advisory and reporting. Thomas supports efforts nationally related to bringing HITRUST services to our clients.
Thomas holds MBA and BS from Indiana University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
