Raymond Holt

Raymond (“Ray”) Holt is a Managing Director in IT Audit and Assurance at KPMG, based in Tysons Corner, Virginia, with over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. He specializes in Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) integrated audits, with deep expertise in evaluating and testing internal controls over financial reporting.  Ray has led numerous ERP security and controls assessment, design, and implementation engagements across both cloud and on-premises environments, supporting complex enterprise systems within highly regulated organizations.  He leads KPMG’s AI Assurance Services and is responsible for the integration and use of artificial intelligence in audit and assurance engagements. In this role, Ray spearheads the development and deployment of AI-enabled assurance solutions designed to enhance audit quality, efficiency, and risk coverage. He also dedicates significant time to evaluating AI-related risks, including model governance, data integrity, explainability, and control design, with a strong focus on regulatory readiness and compliance. His work helps organizations assess and manage the risks introduced by AI technologies used in financial reporting, risk management, compliance, and other regulated business activities.  Ray has served clients across multiple industries, primarily in financial services, with additional experience in healthcare, technology, media and telecommunications, and insurance. His broad industry exposure enables him to deliver risk-focused, practical solutions aligned to regulatory expectations and enterprise risk management objectives.
