Amber K. Hilliard

Amber K. Hilliard is a Senior Advisor with the KPMG Board Leadership Center, where she serves as a governance expert, thought leader, and trusted advisor to corporate boards and C-suite executives. Amber brings nearly 20 years of experience as a former practicing attorney, advising sophisticated clients on a broad range of corporate law, governance, SEC compliance, mergers and acquisitions, and risk management matters.

Prior to joining KPMG, Amber served as Vice President – Law, Corporate Governance & Securities and Assistant Corporate Secretary at Tupperware Brands Corporation, where she played a critical role in advising the company through its Chapter 11 restructuring process. She has also served as Vice President, Law at E.l.f. Cosmetics, and held key legal leadership roles at Hims & Hers Health, Inc. and Fannie Mae.

Throughout her in-house career, Amber has specialized in guiding Fortune 500 and high-growth companies through pivotal corporate milestones and periods of profound organizational transition. Her experience includes leading a comprehensive effort to restructure management-level governance at Fannie Mae and playing an instrumental role in navigating the complex de-SPAC transaction that took Hims & Hers Health public. She has consistently steered executive teams and boards of directors through high-stakes strategic transactions, corporate restructurings, and periods of rapid change.

Earlier in her career, Amber practiced corporate law at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, where she represented multinational corporations in high-stakes M&A transactions and provided foundational corporate governance counsel to boards of directors and senior executives. She also previously served as a Market President & Partner at Latitude Legal.

Amber earned her Juris Doctor from The George Washington University Law School and her Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, in Economics and Spanish from Cornell University.
