Matthew Herrintgon heads the International Tax and Deal Advisory Tax teams for large corporates at KPMG LLP (U.K.). He is a qualified solicitor and advises large corporate groups on international tax matters, transfer pricing, and dispute resolution. Matthew also leads the digital tax economy and BEPS 2.0 services for KPMG in the United Kingdom.

Matthew has advised groups across a wide range of industries, including the financial services, manufacturing, digital, life sciences, telecommunications, media, technology, and energy sectors. His clients include both U.K. and overseas parented groups, and he has significant experience in acting for U.S.-based multinationals, having previously been a partner at a major U.S. law firm.

Matthew's experience covers a broad range of advisory tax matters in relation to cross-border structuring, intellectual property, financing, migrations, global supply chains, and transfer pricing. He also represents clients in tax controversy matters, negotiates settlements with the U.K. tax authorities, and acts for clients in transfer pricing competent authority proceedings.

Matthew is heavily involved in domestic and international tax policy.  He is the current Vice-Chairman of the International Chamber of Commerce’s Tax Committee, and also serves on the tax policy committees of the Business and Industry Advisory Committee to the OECD, the Confederation of British Industry, the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, and the US Council for International Business. 

Matthew is admitted as a Solicitor of England and Wales. He is an affiliate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He earned a BSc degree (Hons) in biochemistry.
